Climbing is dangerous! Every year many climbers are broken, maimed, and killed. Don't be so foolish as to trust your life to what you see here. I'm not a guide and neither is this web site. If you don't know what you are doing or where you are going, please take a course or hire a guide! |

This was posted on the first page of my site during late 2002 and early 2003. I've saved it here for my sake.November, 2002. So what has been going on here? No new trip reports in months, unwritten trip reports, general stagnation. Hmm, that's an interesting question. In March of 2001 I took a risk and started my own business. I thought that self-employment would allow more for family and mountain play. The realities of sole-proprietorship, the current economic environment, and financially supporting a family have added up to a lot of time and energy focused on making my business successful. Over the last ten years my energy has been divided between my family and my mountain adventures, a balancing act that took time to master. 2002 has been about adding a third entity, in the form of my business, to the mix. The Spring, in particular, was especially challenging, and I lost my motivation for mountaineering and my fitness level sagged. But I am starting to come out of my funk, to rekindle my mountain spirit and rejuvenate my mojo. Ice season is coming soon, it's time to get in shape! |
